Because of space constraints, occasionally the only option is to install a Murphy Bed in a closet – usually
behind bi-fold doors. In most cases you can install our original Murphy Bed Hardware inside a closet (which means it is not attached to the floor and can be moved). Where this is not possible you have the alternative of a Bi-fold/Closet system!
The Bi-fold steel frames are well constructed with an excellent warranty, are spring loaded, easy and quick to install, and very compact. The Bi-fold steel frame and regular 8-9”thick mattress can fit into a closet with only 15” depth – from the wall to the back of the closet doors.

The frame attaches to the floor which makes it very secure. The leg extends automatically when the bed is lowered.

A foundation is necessary to attach to the frame and provide the platform for the mattress. Our attractive foundation is 2” thick and a combination of fabric over wood framing with the rounded corners protected by rounded plastic cover. The foundation ships very compactly in three pieces but in one box. It is an attractive addition to the Bi-fold/Closet Hardware.
