The experienced and skilled professionals of Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. have been manufacturing hardware to exacting standards since 1975.

Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. stands behind its products and provides a full replacement warranty on hardware found to be defective because of issues relating to workmanship during manufacturing. The length of the warranty varies and is based upon the Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. product purchased. The warranty lengths are as follows:

• Elite Aluminum – lifetime warranty;
• Supreme Steel – 25 year warranty;
• Build-A-Bed Cabinetry – 5 year warranty.

The warranty is applicable for both residential and commercial applications.

The replacement part must be returned to our factory for inspection before replacement can be considered.

The company warranty does not cover damage deemed to be caused from abuse, misuse and/or improper operation of the hardware system and/or cabinetry. If the deemed abuse, misuse and/or improper operation to the hardware system and/or cabinetry is in the form of a dynamic weight, load and/or stress being applied this is not covered under company warranty.

Safety Procedures

The Purchaser agrees to watch the safety video prior to assembly and installation and agrees to read and follow all instructions outlined in the manual. Failure to follow all of the instructions may result in injury. Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. will not be responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages or injuries resulting from the failure to follow properly and carefully all instructions.

Our Return Policy

Wall-Bed Hardware Orders

Returns will only be accepted if the goods are received by Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. within 30 days of the date of purchase. Refunds will be processed once the goods have been received, shipping/customs fees have been calculated and received, and all paperwork has been completed. Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. will send to the Purchaser a company cheque by regular mail for money owed on the return.

All return sales will be subject to a $95.00 deduction for outbound shipping and a 25% restocking fee. A further deduction of fees may apply when customs and/or duty charges are applied by the return freight carrier. All returns will be examined carefully upon arrival to the company warehouse and additional charges may be added for damaged goods.

Build-A-Bed Cabinetry Orders

Build-A-Bed Cabinetry orders will be processed immediately; however, orders can be altered if the instructions regarding the alterations are received by Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. within 24 hours of the placing of the original order. After the expiry of the 24 hour time period, orders that are cancelled are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Returns will be accepted up to 30 days from the date of receiving. Returned items must be in original packaging with all items secured in the same manner in which they were received. Failure to repackage and secure all items could result in damage during shipping. All returned items will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee and deduction of original outbound shipping costs. A further deduction of fees may apply when customs and/or duty charges are applied by the return freight carrier. All returns will be examined upon arrival at the Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. warehouse and additional charges may be applied for damaged goods.

Shipping & Delivery

Wall-Bed Hardware

All hardware orders (Wall-Bed Hardware) are shipped via UPS standard ground courier within one to two business days of the date of the order. Once shipped, it takes approximately five to eight business days for products to arrive. The Purchaser will be expected to accept delivery and, if needed, document any damage which may have occurred during the shipping process. When reporting damages to Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc., colour photographs of the damage are required and need to be emailed to Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. ([email protected]) to finalize the claim.

If the courier is unable to complete the delivery of the shipment, a notice will be left stating that a delivery has been attempted. It will then be the Purchaser’s responsibility to arrange delivery at time convenient to the Purchaser.

Build-A-Bed Cabinetry Orders

All Build-A-Bed Cabinetry orders are shipped via a motor freight company, using curbside delivery service, meaning that shipments will be made by way of a pallet delivered by a semi-trailer truck or similar vehicle and offloaded by the Purchaser. All Build-a-Bed orders will be delivered on a weekday (Monday - Friday).

Curbside delivery service provides delivery of the item(s) to the curb, or as close to the Purchaser’s property line and/or driveway provided the location is deemed accessible by the delivering carrier. This service does not include set up or assembly of the item(s) or removal of the packaging material. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to inform Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. at the time of purchase of any issues relating to delivery including the existence of a difficult or unusual location, so that necessary arrangements may be made with the delivery carrier where possible. Purchasers may incur additional shipping costs depending on the Purchaser’s specific situation. The delivering freight carrier is not obliged to assist the Purchaser with the unloading of the freight.

The shipment method/procedure must be confirmed by the Purchaser at the time of purchase. The Purchaser should be aware that all freight is prepaid and that no additional freight charges should be paid to the delivering carrier unless the Purchaser alters or changes any prior arrangements. Any deviations from the prearranged shipping methods may result in additional costs being billed to the Purchaser. In most cases, the delivering carrier will bill the Purchaser directly for any additional charges.

The Purchaser must inspect all freight prior to unloading and document any damage to the freight on the Bill of Lading or Delivery Slip provided by the delivery carrier. Failure to document any such damage may result in delays in resolving any possible freight damage claims and may result in the freight claim being denied by the freight carrier.

All Build-A-Bed orders will be packaged in a wooden crate. The wooden crate will be delivered on a pallet and will require a Phillips screwdriver to open. The individual components will range in weight from 2 to 45 kilograms (5 to 100 pounds). It is strongly recommended that the Purchaser have at least one assistant present to help offload the freight. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to notify Murphy Wall-Beds Hardware Inc. prior to ordering if there are any concerns or issues that may arise at the time of delivery. The Purchaser will be given a reasonable time (20 to 30 minutes) to unload the freight from the delivery freight carrier.

Outlet Policies

Murphy Beds listed on our Outlet Page are either prepacked and ready to ship or will ship within 1-2 weeks. If the Murphy Bed is ‘scratch and dent’ or has a ‘blemish’, these will be described in the description and pictures of the ‘blemish(s)’ will be provided.

All Murphy Beds listed on the Outlet Page are final sale. Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order. After the 24 hour grace period, cancellations will be charged a 25% restocking fee.

United Kingdom Shipping Policies

For all orders shipped to the United Kingdom, the purchaser will be responsible for any customs, duties, taxes, and other import charges applied at the time of delivery. For more information on what charges could be applied please contact your local customs office.
